Whut? A post here? *checks the sky for pigs*

Shamelessly ganked from eloquencelost because it looked like fun.

Give me one of my own stories (finished or not), and a time at some point after the end of the story or before the story started, and I'll write you at least 100 words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story begins or ten years in the future.

Transformers - fear or courage?

[G1 AU] In Plain Sight (part 1)

Title: In Plain Sight
Rating: PG-13 for implied violence
Characters: Jazz, Prowl
Summary: Investigating murder isn't high on Jazz's list of favorite activities, but things are much more complicated than they seem at first glance, and time is running out to solve the case - and to clear the name of his friend, the only suspect.

(This is un-betaed as Life is being particularly unkind to my beta lately, so I didn't want to burden her with rush-checking this before I went off for vacation. If there are any glaring mistakes, discrepencies, or confusing areas, please let me know so I can fix them when I have internet access again. I'll post a list of the units of time I'm using if anybody wants me to, and I'll be able to respond to comments Friday)

No amount of levity would help nowCollapse )

blah blah

Last spam, I swear

Have I mentioned that I'm a sheep?

Name a character (up to five at a time - don't have to pick just one at a time, and once I've replied, you can pick five more if you want. I have no life XD ), and I'll tell you at least three facts about them from my own personal pseudocanon.

Also, there's still one slot left below. I'm going to get started on those prompts while we're in California/on the train there next week. ♥

Bandwagon time

I don't often do this, partly because I'm such a slow writer, but mostly because I just don't like taking prompts from other people simply because I'm a paranoid nit about getting characters wrong and/or letting down the prompter/requester. But, alas, I'm a sucker for bandwagons, and since I've already left prompts for 3 other people, it would be beyond selfish of me to not post as well.

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. Please also include a PROMPT (1-3 words or a phrase/quote) because I can't be left to think of something on my own, or it'll never get done. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or something instead. Last bit ain't mandatory.

I reserve the right to turn down a pairing/prompt if I don't like it. To save you the trouble, these are DEFINITE "no"s: Prowl/Jazz, Prime/Bumblebee, Prime/Elita.
I normally only do G1/IDW, but depending on the pairing/prompt, I can try my hand at movie 'verse (first movie only - I've been avoiding spoilers for the second like the plague). I don't do Animated - sorry. I can tryyyyy to do pr0n, but I'm even slower at that than I am at regular writing, so request at your own risk D: Sticky is perfectly fine if that's what you want, but you'll have to specify. My default is tactile/spark.

These will probably be done on the train to California next week, so sorry if it takes a while D:

1. Sentinel Prime/Sunstorm - [Imperium Cybertronium; "Everybody needs someone"] vejiraziel
2. Ratchet/Jazz - [G1; cuddles] raelynhb
3. Blurr/Mirage - [IDW pre-war; "There is more to life than simply increasing its speed"] oxbridgefemme
4. Ramhorn - [G1; jealous] mmouse15
5. Prime/Starscream - [G1?; faithfully] lyricality
6. Tracks/Jazz - [IDW; excessive gratitude] eerian_sadow
7. Snarl/Slag - [Maximum Dinobots; rough-housing] kokitten
8. Shockwave/Megatron - [DW/IDW; hostage negotiations] spotlight_noa
9. Starscream/Jazz - [G1; unexpected] vani_nessa
10. Hound/Mirage - [Fistful of Energon; "I hate this Primus damned bonnet!"] vejiraziel

[G1 AU] Hate the Ground (part 2)

Title: Hate the Ground (Hate the Dark's sequel - I finally came up with a mediocre title)
Arc: 'Til All Are One
Rating: G for now
Characters: Optimus Prime, Jazz, Blaster, Thundercracker, Eject, several others mentioned/cameos
Summary: Okay, after finishing this in January, getting it back from a beta, seeing that it needed an ASSLOAD of work done to make it not suck, graduate school kicking my ass, and my mother's surgery, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to be happy with this no matter what I do to it. Sorry for the stupidly long delay only for you to be given this drivel. Hoping to have a better idea of where I'm going with this by the time I finish chapter 3.

...was that really a flower?Collapse )

I'm always a sucker for bandwagons. Plus, this kinda has the plus of showing *old man voice* I'm not dead~ [/inside joke]

Post a single sentence extract from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations.

  • Clearly, Thundercracker was not versed in the proper handling of cassettes, Eject realized as he was plucked up rather painfully by the back of his neck, and the grip only became more painful as he was lifted from the ground and felt the planet's intense gravity trying to draw him back down.

  • Prowl lowered his gaze back to the duty roster as he abruptly cut off his subordinate's monologue, "That is the most disgusting odor I've ever had the misfortune of smelling. Get it away from me."

  • Only two sources of luminescence penetrated the blackness, crimson and cerulean.

  • In an instant, it was as if they were no longer in the foreign, organic bodies they were currently trapped inside and instead were once again in the sky where they belonged - as Starscream bounded over a fallen log with a fluid grace hidden by his strange, organic prison, Thundercracker and Skywarp immediately fell into formation behind him, their antlers tossed high as they veritably glided with their commander over the meadow.

  • No, we were simply Machine Soldier Black, Machine Soldier Red, Machine Soldier Blue, Machine Soldier Yellow, and I was Machine Soldier White.

  • They were merely shadows, colorless forms whose only purpose was to do the bidding of their master.

Wheeljack - FOR SCIENCE

[Movie] Messy Heroes

Title: Messy Heroes
Arc: N/A
Rating: G
Characters: Sam, Ratchet, Wheeljack
Summary: Written for tfic_contest's December contest which had people anonymously post prompts in the hopes that someone would write for them for Christmas. I was sick the last half of this month (and still am), so I was only able to respond to this one. I really wanted to respond to the one with Hound and the twins, but it didn't happen. D: Never thought I'd write movieverse. Deepest apologies to the requester as this more than likely isn't what he/she wanted/had in mind TT
Original Prompt: Wheeljack/Ironhide; They meet. Things explode.

Optimus Prime - Roll out!

It's my comm, and I can spam if I want to~ So, I finished decorating the tree and the living room with our few meager Christmas decorations today, and Plushformer Prime chimed in that he wanted to help like the cute little trooper he is. Little did I know that he was just conning me into letting him out of my room so he could explore.

First, he got to know Santa Raphael and Santa Claus who were being bums and watching me struggle with the disgusting number of ornaments we have. They are BAD INFLUENCES to an easily-influenced goober like Prime. Every time I bent over to look in another box, I heard snickering behind me.

After I separated them, Prime became friendly with plushie*Sugar and plushie*Bob (left to right). They're not so bad - though they did drown him in puppykisses until he started squealing for me to save him. I took my sweet time doing it to get back at him for the snickering with Raph and Santa.

After finally rescuing him, I made him get to work helping me untangle the Christmas tree lights. He did a good job of it though he couldn't help a little WTF moment when he finally untangled the line and realized something was...off. Where that one blue light came from, we have no idea.

With the lights on the tree, it was time to put up the tree topper. Prime would not be convinced that the Matrix does not make a good one. After the tenth attempt at getting it to stay on top, he begrudgingly helped me put up the real one.

He was so pouty over being denied a Matrix topper though, I gave him a tree his size to make him feel better. He went squee.

Then, it was time for the ornaments. I like to have never pried him away from one particular ornament.

Once I finally did though, I ended up taking my eyes off of him long enough for him to escape. I found him trying to buddy up with Pep-O-Mint the Candy Cane Keeper. He was trying to con her out of a candy cane. Since he wasn't palling around with Raph and Santa again, I left him alone and finished up the tree.

Prime is very persuasive. Next time I looked over, I found out that Pep-O-Mint broke down and delivered.

That was the end of the decorating though. He's back in my room munching his candy canes and looking very proud of himself.

[G1 AU] Hate the Ground (part 1)

Title: (I need a title - seriously; you people wanted this stupid thing - help me name it! D: ) Hate the Ground
Arc: 'Til All Are One
Rating: G for now
Characters: Optimus Prime, Jazz (cameo), several others mentioned
Summary: Okay, you people wanted a real sequel to Hate the Dark - here's the beginning. And...most of it is just rambling tl;dr, I'm afraid. TT I honestly still have absolutely no idea where I'm going with this, so it's going to be slow while I (1) figure it out and (2) finish up my first two nightmarish graduate classes. I finally got into a graduate program, and it's kicking my ass, but I'm going to try to keep updates more frequent than once every six months. >> Just need a damned title.

He felt petty for it, reallyCollapse )
